New Year....Same Me?
Firstly - Happy New Year!
So here we are in 2019! I can't quite believe it, the past year has just sped by so fast. I definitely did not achieve everything I wanted to in 2018, so here I am again facing a new year wanting to make some big changes.
Instead of "New Years Resolutions" I decided to sit and think about some goals I really want to achieve, and how I am gong to get there. No numbers, no deadlines, no pressure.
There is no one goal that is more important than the others, they are just things I am hoping to accomplish.
So here they are:
> Improve health and fitness, and lose weight
> Make better food choices
> Feel confident enough to wear a crop top on holiday and shorts for working out (I have set myself a primary target of July for this as I have a holiday already booked, but if I don't quite get there I won't give up)
> Get better at saving
> More de-cluttering
> More family and friend time
> More adventures and trying new things
> More work on my blog
I really do believe that these are all achievable and I haven't set myself up for failure - usually if I make a plan to lose a certain amount of weight in by a certain date I just fail every time. Maybe it's a subconscious lack of self belief and/or self confidence, I don't know, but it just doesn't work for me. One step at a time, one day at a time.
I will also be making a conscious effort to increase my water intake as it is abysmally low! Again, no "I will drink 8 glasses of water a day" - I know I probably won't stick to something like that and I don't want to feel like I am failing in any way, as that is a sure fire way of me "falling off the wagon".
In my quest for a healthier more active lifestyle I have signed up to Results With Lucy (www.resultswithlucy.com), taking advantage of a 50% off offer running at the moment. I have signed up for the full package - Fitness, Food & Mindset - which includes workouts, recipe library, community support. I am currently a bit unwell with laryngitis but have turned the corner and hopefully be back to full health in a couple of days and can't wait to start with this program.
As well as improving my personal life I am hoping to develop my working life too and am busy working away to improve my skills, and learn new ones.
I have also started to make a 40 before 40 bucket list. I will be 39 in March so I have 15 months to get through it! If you have any idea's feel free to comment below!

> Go to the Cotswolds
> Be able to do an un-assisted pull up
> Afternoon tea at the Ritz
> Donate blood
> Feed Giraffes
> Learn how to make pasta
> Learn a new skill
> Hot Yoga
> Learn how to play chess
> Go to Rome
> Wine tasting / visit a vineyard
> Go to a Spurs game
> Watch 20 films I've never seen before
> Go to a country I've never been to before
So I have a way to go to finish the list, hopefully will have a full list in the next week or so. As well as any idea's for me to add, if you have any recommendations on any of the above I would love you to comment below!
