Beauty Buys

I have recently been sorting through my make-up and replacing lots of items, and also trying out new skincare. This weekend I threw away 1 1/2 carrier bags of make-up, which was not easy! But some of it was pretty old and other things I don't use any more.

Make-up remover was high on my list of new products to try, because I have been using face wipes and various Micellar waters but find neither one get my skin completely clean without going over and over and the wipes definitely tend to drag my skin or make it sore because I rub over and over.

I saw some good reviews on Clinique "take the day off" cleansing balm. This product is fragrance free and a little goes a long way. Its a really nice silky consistency on your skin and so easy to just rub all over the face, neck and even eyelashes. Then all you have to do it wipe off with a cloth and warm water, and pat dry. This worked brilliantly and my face was clean, soft and not a bit sore afterwards.

I also got the Clinique "moisture surge intense skin fortifying hydrator",so after removing my makeup I popped this on, and like the cleansing balm you really don't need very much. My skin felt immediately softer, hydrated and plumper.

I bought these 2 travel size pots from www.asos.com I bought the smaller size as a trial run before purchasing full sized versions.

Take the day off was £7 for 15ml, full size is £24 for 125ml. This range also includes cleansing cloths, cleansing wipes and cleansing oil. Moisture surge was £9 for 15ml, £36 for 50ml with lots of other products in this range including tinted moisturiser, CC cream, face spray and overnight mask.

Next up are 2 masks from Nip+Fab on www.asos.com, where Nip+Fab seems to be on sale at present. I bought the Glycolic Fix Bubble Mask Extreme and the No Needle Fix Eye Mask. Not had time to try these yet but will report back when I have.

Lastly on this www.asos.com order I bought some Lottie London products. Two Slay All Day Matte Lipstick in Low Key which is a pinky red and #tbt which is purple. The Insta Filter Pore Eraser Stick and Eye Foil in the colour Savage which is a beautiful shimmery holographic pink. Now I did try the Pore Eraser Stick and I am not impressed at all, I dont feel it minimised my pores at all, so that was a bit disappointing. I didn't apply make-up after I tried this product though so maybe that will make a difference? I will try this in the next couple of days.

The Matte lipsticks are gorgeous and although I haven't worn them yet I did swatch them and they were pretty difficult to remove!

I also haven't used the Eye Foil as part of a make-up look yet but the swatch is amazing.

I have some other make-up items that I have recently purchased and will post some reviews and make-up looks soon.
